Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy
At Maiden Lane Community Centre (MLCC), we are committed to making sure that everyone feels welcome, respected, and included. Whether you're a staff member, volunteer, or young person, we believe that no one should face discrimination or be treated unfairly. Here’s how we ensure inclusivity and how to report any concerns.
Our Commitment to Inclusivity Diversity Training: We provide regular training to staff on how to create a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone.
Flexible Work: We offer flexible working options to support staff with different needs, including those with caregiving responsibilities or disabilities.
Accessible Facilities: Our centre has ramps and accessible toilets.
Inclusive Youth Programmes: We adapt our activities to ensure young people of all abilities can take part. We also listen to your ideas to improve our programmes.
How to Report Discrimination
If you see or experience discrimination, here's what to do:
1. Tell Someone: Speak to a staff member or the Project Manager if something happens.
2. Fill a Report: You can complete a Discrimination Report Form (available at the centre or on our website). You can also report anonymously.
3. We’ll Investigate: We’ll look into it and follow up within 20 days.
4. Stay Supported: We’ll keep everything confidential, and support is available if needed.
